With his new project called Blue Origin, a new space company, Bezos intends to join in the development and research of spacecraft to launch into space and acquire scientific knowledge in an accelerated manner. Blue Origin’s maiden voyage

Another curious fact is that NASA did not participate or collaborate in the launch, as had been established at the beginning. All because of a delay in the launch date and the subsequent withdrawal of the payload that the rocket was going to have, the EscaPADE system, used for the exploration of Mars.
Competition between Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos?
Many have already begun to position Jeff Bezos with Blue Origin and Elon Musk with his SpaceX as antagonists in the midst of a battle in space rocket development.
